It's long-overdue, but issue 3 of Monstrosity will be available at last in just over a week's time!
I'll be selling all three issues at table 65a in the Royal Armouries Hall alongside other assorted goodies.

MONSTROSITY IS HERE!

Very exciting news- my colour copies of Monstrosity issue #1 arrived today thanks to the great people over at UK Comics! Here are the first pics!

As I've mentioned in previous posts, I'll start selling them at the Bristol Comics Expo on May 11th and 12th.

Here's me unboxing them!

Here's the Proof!

Hello!
I collected the proof copy of Monstrosity Issue #1 yesterday and it came out looking awesome I think! Here's a peek at the cover!

MONSTROSITY #1 in FULL COLOUR!

Issue 1 of Monstrosity will be re-released this year in full colour! Hooray! It will be debuting at Bristol Comic Expo on the 11th-12th of May and will be available at N.I.C.E. and Thought Bubble too!
Here's the revised cover with the brand new logo that my hugely talented girlfriend Nikki Dyson designed for me!

MONSTROSITY!

Well, this is one of the projects I've been working on for a while now, if you're heading down to the Bristol comic convention on the 12th and 13th of May you'll be able to buy a copy of MONSTROSITY issue 1, I'll have posters for sale too and I'll draw you a free sketch for good measure! I'm sharing a table with my pals Matt and Chris who will also have an assortment of delectable goodies for you! See you there!

Here's a sneak peek at the interior, panel 1 unlettered!

Bristol preperations!

My comic for the Bristol comic con is nearly ready!
Here's a cheeky tease of the work-in-progress cover, more info soon!

Upcoming Project...

Hey!!
It's about time I posted up some of the stuff I'm currently working on!
This guy is a character I've been drawing and refining for a few years now, but I'm actually going to try working properly on his comic (at last!). I don't want to give much away at this stage as it's still early days but I'm hoping to have the first part done early next year and am working all-out to make it happen! Suffice to say, it will involve ridiculous creatures, insane battles and several ink-jar's worth of speedlines! For now here's a tease, expect to hear more over the next few months!
Thanks for stopping by,

Zak

Sword Swingin'!

Here's a new drawing of my character Daigo, scrapping like usual!
I've been reading a bit of BERSERK! lately, if you can stomach it it's pretty incredible stuff, Miura is an absolute monster draughtsman and storyteller and he reminds you of this fact in every single panel.
This drawing is partly a result of reading lots of his action scenes: motion-blur lines ahoy!

At some point soon I'll be posting bits and pieces over at the KING ZILLA blog too, be sure to give it a look, there's some lovely work there. Cheers to Sinistar for the invite!

WIP

Here's a new drawing I've been working on during my lunch break, I hope to have a finished version soon!

High Powered

Another quick drawing of Daigo at full-power on the offensive!
Maybe one day I'll get back into drawing this comic, I've got loads of cool new ideas for it's direction, I think it'd be epic!

By the way, I heard the other day that Guru from Gang Starr passed away, it's a real shame, he was a Hip Hop legend and he'll be missed for sure.

Action in colour!

Here's the drawing from my last post all coloured up!
This one was a blast to do, I've been colouring it bit by bit during my lunch hour.
Hope you dig it, more soon!

Hell On Earth

Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been busy drawing for a whole bunch of projects lately and have just collected a boisterous Beagle from the Blue Cross so it's been hectic!
Anyway, without further ado here's some pages of a comic I've been working on for my own amusement between working on pages for ANOTHER project, (more on the secret project soon guys, I think it's going to be pretty awesome!)
These are pencil previews for Hell On Earth*, it'll be an ongoing thing and I have no idea when it'll be ready to take it any further than a personal project, I've got high hopes though! You may recognise the demon dude from the drawings in my previous posts.
(*Title subject to change once I discover that it's taken already)

I'll be posting more as soon as they've accumulated on my desk!

Demon and Demon Hunter!

A couple of new pieces I did for sheer, indulgent fun!

Burst Limit!!

Yeah, I know, a double update!
I just remembered that there were some other bits I wanted to show so I thought why wait?
Below are the pencil versions of my last 2 posts just for comparisons sake, also my entry for a Gargabox art jam on the theme of alternate costumes for Street Fighter characters!

Cheers for looking!

Defensive Maneuvre

This is more high-octane anime-styled work than I usually do but I think it came out looking pretty cool.
This guy's a half-Demon who scraps with monsters and carries a big sword- that's about as in-depth as his story gets. You may notice I decided to go all-out with the design cliche's too!
